Micro Nano Plastics

Our lab explores multiple areas of micro and nano plastic research, from studying the real-life generation of plastic nanoparticles to understanding their effects on the marine environment and species. We examine how these particles impact turtles, mussels, and various fish species, focusing on bioaccumulation and their effects within and on these organisms. Our research also delves into the generation and biological effects of tyre wear particles in the environment, as well as associated compounds like phenanthrene, to uncover their broader environmental and biological impacts.
