Pollution and PAHs
We are dedicated to uncovering the complex impacts of environmental pollutants, with a particular focus on phenanthrene. Using a mouse model, we study its arrhythmogenic effects and impacts on cardiac function, as well as its immunologic effects following exposure. Our research extends to the marine environment, examining how phenanthrene from pollution affects mussels and other aquatic species. We also investigate phenanthrene as a component of tire wear particles and its interaction with the rising levels of plastic pollution, aiming to better understand its environmental and biological consequences.
